Community Space

Local non-profits are the life-blood of many communities. So often these critical institutions operate on a shoe-string budget, dependent on grants for projects (many of which themselves are reliant on a fickle, polarized, political funding system). This all too often means making due working out of long-neglected spaces, much less having access to designers to help create environments whose design is commensurate with the value of the work they do.

Over the past several years our Restorative Justice Studio has been working with a number of non-profits, including YouthAction Youth Build, The Malcolm X and Betty Shabazz Center, The Center for Justice Innovation, and more, helping them tackle challenges and advance their missions though the desing of their environments. Here are a few of those projects.
